Please allow 15 to 20 minutes for the assessment, depending on the extent of the damage or if you have a specialty vehicle.

The Minnesota Fair Claims Act (LAW) states that you have the right to take your vehicle to the repair shop of your choice, the insurance company cannot sway that decision.

Our collision repairs are backed by a lifetime guarantee for as long as you own your vehicle. However, due to the nature of rust, we are unable to offer a guarantee on rust repair.

Yes. At Bonfe’s all of our repairs include a lifetime paint warranty.

Over the years, various auto manufacturers have attempted to pre-paint parts, but this process has proven to be largely unsuccessful. Factors such as a vehicle’s age, condition, and slight color variations—also known as “color shifts”—from the automaker make it nearly impossible to achieve a perfect match. That’s why at Bonfe’s, we paint 99% of all replacement parts in-house, ensuring a seamless and accurate color match for your vehicle.

You may wash your car immediately, however, we suggest a touch free car wash and wait at least 30 days to wax.

Service schedules vary depending on your vehicle’s make and model. Some cars require a tune-up every 30,000 miles, while others may not need one until 100,000 miles. There are many opinions on how often you should change your oil, but our recommendation is every 3,000 miles for standard oil and every 5,000 miles for synthetic oil. While synthetic oil is higher quality, your oil filter still collects small metal particles and debris over time. When the filter becomes clogged, it can lower your engine’s oil pressure, potentially leading to performance issues. Regular oil changes are the most cost-effective and essential maintenance you can do to keep your vehicle running smoothly.

Typically, this indicates that your vehicle’s alignment is off, which could be caused by wear on the steering and suspension components or uneven tire wear. The best way to determine the exact issue is to bring your vehicle in for an inspection, and our team will diagnose the problem to get you safely back on the road.

Yes! Regular tire rotations are essential for maximizing the lifespan of your tires. Most tire manufacturers require proof of rotation every 6,000 miles to maintain warranty coverage (with a few exceptions). Since tires are a significant investment, rotating them helps ensure even wear, improving performance, safety, and longevity.

Preventative maintenance is the key to keeping your vehicle in top condition. With regular care, today’s vehicles can easily surpass 250,000 miles—provided you’re not driving like you’re in a NASCAR race! Staying on top of routine maintenance, such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks, will help extend the life of your vehicle and keep it running smoothly for years to come.
