Bonfe’s Auto Service & Body Repair is a third-generation, family-owned business that has proudly served the Twin Cities since 1951. It all began when Sam Bonfe opened his 10-stall repair shop on the corner of West Seventh Street and Smith, with a commitment to providing quality service and expert repairs. With just one employee, Sam built a reputation for trust and excellence, laying the foundation for what Bonfe’s is today.

In 1972, Sam’s son, Roger Bonfe, took over with a vision for growth and continued service. Under his leadership, Bonfe’s expanded its capabilities, and in 2005, we added a 25,000-square-foot expansion to our collision center, allowing us to repair more vehicles efficiently and store them indoors throughout the process.

Today, Bonfe’s is operated by Roger’s sons, Tony and Tom, who continue the family tradition of exceptional service and customer care. With 35 employees, 55 service bays, and comprehensive collision, mechanical, detailing, glass, and auto repair services, we remain committed to the same values that Sam Bonfe established over 70 years ago—quality craftsmanship, honesty, and customer satisfaction.
