tires

During the summer you will want to have a well-running vehicle. This will help it to be efficient. It will also help you to reach your destination safely. Making sure to bring it in for regular maintenance inspections is important. This allows it to run as efficiently as possible. If you ever notice anything odd with the vehicle, make sure to contact us so we can inspect it. Be aware of any thing strange with the way the vehicle handles, sounds, or even smells you might notice. These are all signs there can be a larger issue with it.

Properly Inflated

You will regularly want to check the tires on your vehicle. This will help to ensure they are able to work and rotate properly as you drive. Make sure to check the air pressure in them. If you are not sure how much air should be in them, check the inside doorjamb of your vehicle. You can also bring the vehicle in and we can check the air pressure for you. If you notice that you have to fill the tire with air more often, it can indicate a leak somewhere on it.

Check Tread wear

Make sure that you also look at the tread wear. Take a penny and place it upside down in the groove of the tread. If you can see the top of Lincoln’s head, then the tread has worn. You will want to have good quality tread on the tires so it can help grip the surface of the road as you drive. With poor tread, you may slide and skid on wet roads. If you suspect the tread is low, bring the vehicle in and we can inspect the tires for you. When new tires are needed, it is best to buy a set, because ideally the tires should wear at the same time.
