Proper care of your vehicle is important to help ensure the longevity. If you hit a pothole with your vehicle, always make sure to have us inspect it. There can be further issues that happen after you hit a pothole. Make sure all the parts are working properly. When we give it a bumper to bumper inspection, we will check for any damage. As always, it is always best to keep up to date on regular maintenance. If you are not sure how often that should be, let us know and we can advise you on a schedule.

If you have to hit a pothole, slow down your speed. Doing so will help reduce the amount of damage that happens to your vehicle. The tires are typically the most impacted by hitting potholes. Check them to ensure there are not cracks or damage to them. You will also want to check the air pressure for them. If the tires hit it too hard, you will start noticing air loss almost right away. Also be aware of the alignment of the tires. Hitting a pothole can throw the tires out of alignment. It is always best to contact us so we can inspect the tires and vehicle for you.

You will also want to worry about the suspension for the vehicle. The most noticeable sign is the vehicle has a rough or bouncy ride after that. Even hitting a slight dip will make the vehicle rough when riding. Bring the vehicle in and we can check the suspension and shocks for you. Doing so will also help reduce unnecessary wear and tear to other parts of the vehicle when you drive. If you ignore a suspension problem, there will be more issues in the long run for your vehicle.
