Proper maintenance and care is important to help keep the vehicle lasting as long as possible. If there are any issues, we can notice it before they become worse. You can look in the owner’s manual to see when proper maintenance tasks should be done for the vehicle. If you are unsure, we can also advise you on a schedule. Sometimes it can be based on how often you drive, miles, and what type of roads you drive on. If you are in heavy traffic, the brakes may need to be checked on a more frequent basis.

Remove Salt

One of the best things you can do for your vehicle in the spring is to make sure to have it washed. The winter will result with salt and road grime that are on the road. If you choose to ignore it, this will eventually lead to rust for your vehicle. The salt can cause corrosion through the exterior of your vehicle, and then rust. To help prevent this, make sure to bring your vehicle in to a car wash. Try to choose one where underneath the vehicle is washed as well. This will help remove any salt, road grime, or dirt. It can also help keep your vehicle looking like new.

You should also make sure to check the other parts of the vehicle in the spring as well. This can include the tires, brake system, windshield wipers, and even the fluid levels. Harsh winter weather can cause strain on your vehicle and parts. Make sure that everything is inspected to help ensure that everything is proper working order. As always, be aware of anything odd from your vehicle. This could be from strange noises to how the vehicle handles. If there is an issue, make sure to have it inspected as soon as possible.
