Tire care is important for your car. While it is often overlooked, having the tires cared for is one of the most important things you can do. Make sure to check each tire for any issues that might be starting to form. The last thing you want is to be driving when the tires fail. There are several things to look at. Each of these will help prevent a further issue, and complete tire failure. Anytime there is a problem with the tires, make sure to contact us. We can schedule an appointment to get them inspected for you.

The tread should be inspected on each tire. This can be easily done by just using a penny. Place the penny upside down in the tread of each tire. If you can see the top of Lincoln’s head, then the tread has worn down. The best recommendation would be to get a new set of tires. As the tires rotate, it cause them to wear. If the tires are not properly balanced or aligned, it can cause poor tread wear. When bringing the vehicle in, we can also check how the alignment is. You can also tell if the alignment is off based how the vehicle handles. If you notice it pulling in one direction or the other, this could mean the alignment is not ideal.

Also remember to check the air pressure in each tire. This can be found on the inside door jamb of the driver’s door, or otherwise in the vehicle owner’s manual. Having the tires at the ideal air pressure will help them rotate smoothly and efficiently as well. When air constantly leaks out of a tire, make sure to schedule an appointment with us. This way we can inspect and repair it. This will get you back on the road so you have a safe and reliable ride.
